Adaptable technology

The technology platform we’ve developed at Verso Biosense is adaptable. Not only can we use sensors to measure specific biomarkers, we could also use it as a therapeutic delivery system in the future. We are at the first phases of a very exciting, platform technology.

Minimising the sensors

The Verso Biosense technology uses tiny sensors that fit comfortably in the uterus. In our first generation technology, these sensors measure temperature, oxygen, and pH. After extensive development, we chose these sensors for their reliable readings over a prolonged period of time.

Delving into data

Continuously monitoring the biomarkers in the uterus provides plenty of data that allows us to look for patterns, both at a population and an individual level. This is enormous progress from the single point in time measurements that have been possible to date. We expect it will provide new insights about the uterus which is a dynamic environment and can have significant impact on the wellbeing of women.

Contraception and temperature sensors

Adding temperature measurement sensors to a contraceptive coil can provide real-time data on uterine temperature, potentially providing insight into a multitude of conditions.

Temperature and pH sensors

Measuring temperature and pH levels in the uterus can provide valuable insights into the uterine environment, could help with early detection and monitoring of multiple conditions and could aid fertility.

For progesterone

Delivering progesterone directly in the uterus can provide targeted hormone therapy, potentially improving treatment outcomes for conditions like endometriosis and infertility.
